As an established business with an existing brand, K-9 Comprehensive approached SK Design Studio to update their marketing materials back in 2019. The business supports adults and young people with their wellbeing and education by using learning dogs. Helen from In The Detail chatted with Anna from K-9 Comprehensive about the work the two businesses did together and the experiences they had during the collaboration.
What were you looking for in a designer?
We already had a logo and a wider brand but we needed help to update our marketing materials such as information sheets, flyers for conferences, banners – that kind of thing. But we needed someone who understood our business and who we could trust to capture the essence of who we are and what we do. Sam created some proofs of possible designs following a brief initial conversation. She had absolutely captured what our business is all about – and in such a short space of time too!
How did you find the experience of working with SK Design Studio?
Once we started working with Sam, she met all the deadlines we agreed between ourselves and we found her approach really innovative and fresh. She designed artwork for us that we had never seen used by another company before so we knew it would make us stand out. Since working with Sam we’ve had loads of positive feedback on the materials she produced for us, especially one particular flyer she designed. It’s really unusual but really gets our messages across to the perfect audiences.
Would you recommend SK Design Studio to other businesses?
Absolutely! Our business is going from strength to strength. We’re almost at capacity because of the increased queries and requests for our services. This, we believe, is wholly down to the high-quality promotional material we now have both in hard copy and on our social media channels.
Sam is even better than she says she is. She’s creative, empathetic and reliable from start to finish.
