DO YOU ONLY WORK WITH ORGANISATIONS IN THE NORTH EAST?
No, I work remotely across the UK via Teams or Zoom. Bonus points if you are in the North East though, as face to face meetings can be arranged.
CAN WE HIRE YOU FOR ONE PROJECT?
Yes. Project work and one-offs aren't a problem.
DO YOU DO RETAINER WORK?
Yes. Organisation's design requirements and budgets can be discussed and planned accordingly.

HOW LONG DOES A PROJECT TAKE?
A typical timeframe may look like:

Presentation: 1–2 weeks

Each body of work heavily depends on page count, project scope and client feedback, as well as my availability. Book in advance to avoid disappointment and meet your deadlines.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM US BEFORE YOU CAN START?
Before beginning any brochure, presentation or report, I usually need:

Finalised, proofed copy - this reduces the number of chargeable rounds of amends

CAN YOU WORK WITH OUR EXISTING BRAND GUIDELINES?
Yes please! Providing up-to-date brand guidelines for your organisation, and even examples of great, branded work will assist me in creating your on-brand publication.
CAN YOU CREATE INFOGRAPHICS FROM OUR DATA?
Of course! Highlight the facts, figures and key info that you want to focus on and I'll make them into a standout feature. You might have some ideas as to how you want them to look, so feel free to save and share any examples with me.
CAN YOU SOURCE STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes. Just let me know if you want something royalty free or if you have some budget to spend on finding the right image.
CAN YOU PREPARE ARTWORK FOR PRINT?
Yes, I can. I can even arrange printing should you need hard copies.
CAN YOU MAKE OUT POWERPOINT EDITABLE AFTER YOU'VE DESIGNED IT?
Yes, the PowerPoint file can be provided but please specify if this is needed from the beginning, as it will incur an additional fee.
DO YOU DESIGN LOGOS AND BRANDING?
Not right now, but you could always ask! It may be something I suggest if you have very limited brand guidelines. An example of brand identity design I created for Taurus Comms can be viewed here, and an example of brand development can be read about here when I worked with North East charity Rise.
CAN YOU MAKE OUT POWERPOINT EDITABLE AFTER YOU'VE DESIGNED IT?
Yes, the PowerPoint file can be provided but please specify if this is needed from the beginning, as it will incur an additional fee.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes, I always take a deposit (usually 50% upfront non-refundable deposit) before starting any design work. My T&Cs can be read here.
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Of course! You can either pay in full at the time of booking, or you can take advantage of my three-payment plan. If you require a longer payment plan, please message me and we can discuss the details further. However, this may mean a delay in your start date to accommodate the additional payments. Payments can be made via bank transfer.
WHAT FILES WILL WE RECEIVE?
Depending on the publication, and what is stipulated in the deliverables:

WHO OWNS THE FINAL DESIGN?
SK Design Studio owns the design files and unless sensitive information is included and a NDA is signed, I am able to share the design work in my portfolio and website.
DO YOU OFFER ONGOING SUPPORT?
Yes! I can use what we do this year as a basis for updating your report next year - ideal!
CAN YOU BECOME OUR REGULAR FREELANCE DESIGNER?
Yes, you can book me in on a project to project basis or take advantage of my retainer service should you need regular weekly or monthly support.
